Caridad uses only 100% heavy linen canvas from Claessen in Belgium. Their linen is the finest most durable and flexible surface to paint on. 

The linen canvas is first cut to measure, then stretched onto a wooden frame and nailed into place. 

Afterwards the gesso primer is prepared and will later be applied to the canvas in order to create the painting surface. 

The canvas is now ready to be painted on!
